Grand Anse Triathlon

Triathlon - Date to be Announced. The Grand Anse Triathlon is great for beginner athletes looking to get involved in the sport and for the experienced athlete that likes to go fast or wants to hone their skills for the longer races. Athletes aged 11-15 will compete in the shorter, youth race.

  • Youth Triathlon (11-15) 250m swim/6.6km bike/1.6km run

Swim
The swim will consist of a single loop on Grand Anse beach for both the Sprint (750m) and youth event (250m). After exiting the water, athletes will proceed to the transition area on the Mourne Rouge Playing Field through Camerhogne Park.

Bike
Starting from the Mourne Rouge Playing field cyclist will proceed along the main road towards the airport. The bike turn will be at the top of the hill at Fox Inn. Athletes will return along the same course back to Mourne Rouge to complete 1 lap. Sprint athletes will complete a total of 3 laps (20km) before heading into transition. Athletes in the Youth event will head into transition at the end of the first lap (6.6Km)

Run
After exiting Transition, athletes will proceed to run Counter Clockwise loops around Mourne Rouge going all the way to the South St. George Police station, and back to the Grand Anse Main Road. Sprint athletes will complete 3 loops (5km), Youth Athletes will complete 1 loop (1.6km)

Grenadian athletes (sprint triathlon) - National Sprint Champion Title & trophy awarded to top Male and Female
11-12 Age Group  - prizes awarded to top 3 boys and girls
13-15 Age Group  - prizes awarded to top 3 boys and girls
16 - 19 Age Group - prizes awarded to top 3 boys and girls
20 - 29 Age Group - prizes awarded to top 3 men and women
30 - 39 Age Group - prizes awarded to top 3 men and women
40 - 49 Age Group - prizes awarded to top 3 men and women
50+ Age Group - prizes awarded to top 3 men and women
Age is based on December 31st in the year of the race in accordance with ITU rules
